Vial Kits for chromatography provide convenience in ordering and managing matching screw top vials and caps.

Kit includes 1.2ml, clear, RSA™ glass MRQ™ vials and screw caps with matching threads for optimal vial sealing.

The MicroSolv™ MRQ™ vials are solid glass vials designed for use with autosamplers with side port needles such as Waters® Alliance and others. To maintain the critical bottom height of the bottom well and the shelf for maximum recovery, they are made with a "mandrel". You can rely on the internal dimensions to be the same from vial to vial and lot to lot which assures you of precision, secure samples and elimination of bottoming out on your autosampler and subsequent damage to you needles. 

 RSA-Pro™ glass autosampler vials are not your ordinary "deactivated vials". They are designed and manufactured from RSA™ glass with a proprietary surface deactivation process resulting in near 100% deactivation of the hydrophilic glass surface that is consistent and reliable. Used to prevent sample adsorption and sample degradation these vials are the choice of many bioanalytical and bioscience laboratories.

Ordinary autosampler vials contain a variable amount of silanols sites (hydroxyl groups) on the glass surface from vial to vial and are hard to completely "deactivate". Also, the vials used to deactivate are often contaminated with grease or borax glass dust resulting from the vial conversion, tooling process. This tooling residue is a common problem with ordinary, silanized vials as the covered silanol sites can become heavy and fall off (delaminate) the glass leaving a portion of the vial "non-deactivated" and therfore adsorptive or reactive. This defeats the purpose of the treatment as your samples can have different reaction from vial to vial producing erratic results.

One very important difference between ordinary deactivated vials and RSA-Pro™ vials is the vial surface (substrate) used for RSA-Pro™ vials. Used exclusively for RSA-Pro™ RSA™ (Reduced Surface Activity) glass offers virtually no silanols on the glass surface and no tooling residue. The RSA™ surface is highly controlled during the manufacturing process to be as pristine as possible; it is on this surface that the methylation treatment is processed resulting in the finest deactivated glass autosampler vial available today.

The AQR™ Screw Caps that are inlcuded with this kit are knurled on the sides for excellent gripping and comfort when applyting to the vial. The non-slit, fitted ultra pure silicone rubber & PTFE septa used is a good choice for HPLC, LCMS & LCMS/MS. The Silicone rubber is not colored. Compares to market leading "HPLC Certified" vial and cap brands.

Vials and caps are packaged separately inside the kit which includes a clam shell over pack which can be used on the bench to dispense the vials and caps. Each kit includes 100 vials and 100 caps. 1 PK.
