Silica Hydride - Cogent TYPE-C™
Cogent TYPE-C™ Silica HPLC columns have been manufactured by MicroSolv and have been leading the industry for polar compound separation since 2003. The unique chemistry of the silica hydride does not adsorb water as ordinary silica and is slightly hydrophobic. The adsorption of hydroxyl groups allows for fantastic retention and separation of peptides, amino acids, organic acids and all polar compounds in Aqueous Normal Phase mobile phases.
Excellent for LCMS, metabolomics, natural products, cannabis, pharmaceuticals and medical research, these columns do not degrade bioactivity.
Available in 4um or 2.2um particle sizes, Cogent TYPE-C can be modified with ligands for separation of closely related compounds such as positional isomers.
Columns can be used in any mode of HPLC but are conveniently categorized below by optimal use and perfomance. "ANP" or Aqueous Normal Phase is for polar compound methods and "Reversed Phase" are columns that provide unique RP selectivity, extreme long lifetimes, does not degrade bioactivity and other great benefits.
