The 5mL Five-O™  screw cap MacroTubes® are supplied with a 20mm (OD) screw cap that seals smoothly with a single turn. The 5mL tubes come in at a 56mm length which in turn greatly reduces the risk of contamination of pipettor shafts, allowing 1mL or 5mL tips to easily reach the bottom. The 16mm diameter is identical to industry standard 15mL tubes. This ensures compatibility with existing centrifuge rotors. 

Made from high clarity, low-binding, virgin polypropylene, these tubes are certified RNase and DNase free. 

They are usable from -86°C to 110°C. The foam racks are similar to the packaging normally associated with 15mL tubes (upright with caps attached), but they require about 60% less storage space.
